STOVE & OVEN ISSUES

DOES NOT IGNITE

If an electric stove doesn’t ignite, first check if the appliance is plugged in and if all circuit breakers are on. You will want to check the pilot light on gas appliances. If the appliance is plugged in or if the pilot light is lit in the oven, then another part of the stove will need to be replaced. The cause of the issue could be an infinite switch, surface element, oven burner igniter or broil and bake element.

BURNER DOES NOT HEAT

A stove or burner or oven without produce heat doesn’t do much. An oven doesn’t heat when there’s a broken oven sensor or bake element. Your burner does not ignite when an element breaks or when the burner switch or terminal block don’t work. We can repair these problems in no more than 1-2 hours after an appointment begins.

TIMER ISSUES

You can assume the control panel on an oven is broken when the timer or program settings aren’t working. In this case, we are able to replace control panels on Sears, GE, LG, Kenmore, KitchenAid and several other brands of stoves, ovens and ranges. We offer a warranty on all of the control panels and manufacturer replacement parts we need for this stove repair service.

OVEN IS VERY HOT

You always want a hot oven. But not too hot! If the oven heat is out of control, it could be due to a problem with the thermostat or sensor. Our appliance technicians can find the reason for the problem and repair it. Just be careful when troubleshooting this problem for fear of burns from the very high and unpredictable heat source.

IGNITER DOESN’T LIGHT

A common stove issue is that an igniter glows but it doesn’t light. The reason this occurs is sometimes from a broken surface igniter, safety valve, electronic control or sensor. We will determine whether we are able to repair these appliance parts or if we need to replace the parts.

DOOR DOES NOT OPEN

Modern self-cleaning models of ovens are known to experience door problems often. The door won’t open after the oven cleans itself. We inspect the door latch, thermostat and seal to troubleshoot why the door will not open and then complete the repair so we can resolve the problem.
